the client_ The National Organization of The Huntington Disease Society of America

about the project_ Working closely with Barbara Boyle, National Executive Director/CEO, and others from the HDSA National Office, a survey was developed to identify key issues of importance to the community. This involved interviewing HDSA families; HDSA Chapters; Center of Excellence directors, researchers, staff and others related to HD to assess their levels of awareness regarding certain issues related to HDSA, and to hear their opinions.

the goal_ To provide HDSA and its' National Board with a greater understanding of the expectations of its' constituents from both quantitative and qualitative views. To also dentify what issues the various stakeholders feel are most important to them, and what they believe needs to be improved regarding various programs and initiatives.

the outcome_ The findings allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of current resource materials and the communication channels being used. The National Board was able to consider the findings within the framework of its' long-term strategic planning process, and successfully implemented many of the recommendations from the report.
