Integrated Branding Agency Receives National Recognition
for Rockland County Community College Creative Campaign

Out of more than 5,000 submissions from 24 countries, The Byne Group was named a Silver Award winner in the 2017 Summit Creative Award® competition for its creative work for Rockland County Community College. The Summit Creative Award (SCA) recognizes and celebrates the creative achievements of small and medium sized advertising agencies worldwide with annual billings under $30 million. Celebrating its 23rd year, the SCA has firmly established itself as the premier arbiter of creative excellence for firms of this size and has become a coveted honor.

Entries in 13 major categories are judged against a stringent set of standards. The Byne Group won in the Education Marketing category for the creative campaign that promotes the Life Happens 211 initiative, a unique extension of the National United Way 2-1-1 program, among RCC students and their families.

“We consider it a privilege and an honor to bring this amazing resource to life and showcase an approachable platform that allows students and their families to overcome life obstacles that often get in the way of academic pursuits. This recognition is an added bonus to the amazing success and inspirational stories that have come to fruition in just the first year of the program,” said Melissa Lipovsky, Vice President and Creative Director at The Byne Group.

“Winning a Summit Creative Award is a significant accomplishment in one’s career. With vetted judges, tough judging criteria, two-phase blind judging processes, and strict bylaws limiting winners, only deserving entries receive recognition”, said Jocelyn Luciano, Executive Director for the Summit International Awards (SIA). “The creative work this year was outstanding. Watching the judges debate the details of the individual entries in the run-off for the top spots was inspiring.”

“The Byne Group understands and appreciates the vision of the Connection Center and what life happens looks and feels like for our students. Their powerful marketing strategies are innovative, groundbreaking, and second to none. I treasure the collaborative and human touch Ann Byne and her staff provide to us everyday,” said Joe Falco, LMFT, Coordinator, Connection Center at RCC.
