Created by The Byne Group, the creative showcases the accessibility and beauty of the New York landmark
The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point unveiled a new outdoor ad campaign this month to highlight the unique attributes of the property and position the historic treasure as an ideal destination for leisure trips, corporate meetings, and Hudson Valley weddings. The ad campaign was made possible by a New York state tourism grant that was predicated on using New York state approved women and minority owned businesses. The Byne Group was awarded the contract and quickly went to work to turnaround campaign concepts and a custom photo shoot in record time. The new 12-week ad campaign “It’s All Thayer” will appear on major thoroughfares throughout the tri-state area including billboards on the West Side Highway in Manhattan, I-95 by the Hutchinson River Parkway (NY), I-80 by Saddle River Road (NJ), and I-84 (CT); placements along the Hudson River ferry crossings including an impactful diorama at the World Financial Center; digital ads on Metro North platforms; and mobile ads delivered in conjunction with the radius of the outdoor placements.
A custom shoot by award-winning photographer Chris Ramirez captured the stunning views and beautiful landscapes of the property along with select interior shots. Additional wedding photography from Diane Hu and Michelle Lange complemented the overall campaign and showcased the beauty and grandeur that would appeal to any bride-to-be.
“It was a pleasure to collaborate with the team at The Thayer Hotel and help spread the word about this amazing venue. Everyone should experience the history and hospitality that is right here in our own backyard,” said Melissa Lipovsky, Vice President and Creative Director at The Byne Group.
“The Byne Group brought to life our vision to drive tourism to our landmark hotel in the Hudson Valley. The creativity and professionalism of their team captured the essence of the experiences that our beautiful area offers throughout the year. The Byne Group, like the Hudson Valley, is fun to be around, and we enjoyed exploring and creating this campaign with them,” Carlys Lemler, General Manager of The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point.
